     I have just finished reading this film and will share what I found with others.  It was easy to read and legible most of the time.  The previous film was very tedious and had terrible writing.  It covered the years 1579-1653.  Two more films are ready to be read and will report on the three later.  Included in this report are items that do not mention Looney's but add interesting insights to the times in which they lived.

     On page 10 of the Parish Register:
Edmmund Christen     Sometimes Captained at ye sea and after-wards for a time governor of ye Isle of Man departed this life in ye Peele Castle being a prisoner there for sum words spoken concerning ye King when ye gret difference was between King and Parlament he was comitted by James Earl of darby being then in this Isle and John Grenohalgh Governour and after wards Buried  in KK Maughal Church where he was Batised--he was Buried January ye 2, 1661
